Sharjah and Ajman Full Day City Sightseeing Tour
Combination tour that includes stops in Sharjah and Ajman. Due to its abundance of museums highlighting local history and two covered souqs with authentic Islamic architecture, Sharjah is regarded as one of the cultural hubs of the United Arab Emirates. Some of the attractions included in the tour:
The Blue Souq: The main souq in the city, also referred to as the Central Souq, gained its name from the arched blue ceiling. The souq has over 600 shops that sell a wide range of goods, but the first level is solely devoted to jewellery, including vintage Omani and Yemeni items.
King Faisal Mosque: The main mosque in the city bears the name of the late Saudi Arabian king. Up to 17,000 worshipers can fit inside the mosque, which has a floor area of about 12,000 square metres.
Ajman Museum: This museum, which is housed in what was formerly a fort from the eighteenth century, provides a glimpse at the history of Ajman through displays that include antiques, old tools and weaponry, and a variety of historical images.
The Gold Souq: Participants can end the tour by shopping in this souq that offers a widce variety of gold jewelry.
Sharjah Ajman Tour Highlights
Begin your journey by being picked up from your Dubai hotel for a guided tour of the neighboringirates of Sharjah and Ajman. Your English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the tour. The itinerary includes a visit to the King Faisal Mosque, the country’s second largest mosque, followed by a drive through the intricately designed buildings of Sharjah. Visit the Museum at the recently renovated Fort of Ajman and enjoy a scenic drive along the Corniche to take in the panoramic view of Ajman before returning to Sharjah.
